Acceptable Use Policy

Last updated: April 1, 2026

This policy governs what you can and cannot do with Proxly. It's written to be read, not to be obfuscated. If you have a use case you're not sure about, email us before you build on it.

Permitted use

Web scraping and data collection

Collecting publicly available data from websites — prices, listings, search results, news, public social content. The data must be publicly accessible without authentication.

Ad verification

Checking that your ads appear correctly in different regions, that competitors aren't running fraudulent ads using your brand, and that publisher placements look as contracted.

Brand and IP monitoring

Monitoring for trademark infringement, counterfeit products, and unauthorized use of your brand across e-commerce platforms and marketplaces.

Security research

Testing systems you own or have written authorization to test. Bug bounty programs typically constitute sufficient authorization for their defined scope.

SEO and market intelligence

Monitoring search rankings, competitor pricing, and market conditions using public data sources.

Prohibited use

Credential stuffing and account takeover

Using the network to test stolen username/password pairs against login forms, or to gain unauthorized access to accounts you don't own. This is a hard prohibition with no exceptions.

Spam

Sending unsolicited messages of any kind — email, SMS, social media DMs, forum posts, contact form submissions. This includes scraping contact information for unsolicited outreach.

Unauthorized access

Bypassing authentication or access controls on systems you don't have permission to access. This includes scraping behind-login content you aren't authorized to view.

Malware and botnets

Distributing malware, participating in botnet command-and-control, or using the network for any purpose that causes harm to third-party systems.

Reselling without agreement

Reselling access to the Proxly network to third parties without a written reseller agreement. Contact us if you want to build a product on top of the API.

Enforcement

We monitor network usage for patterns consistent with prohibited activity. When we identify a violation, we'll suspend the account and notify you by email. You have the right to contest a suspension — email trust@proxly.cc and we'll review within 2 business days.

Questions

If your use case isn't clearly covered, email trust@proxly.cc before you build. We'll give you a clear answer.
